Acupuncture medicine technique best for women fertility

Acupuncture, a traditional Chinese healing practice used to cure a number of diseases. The ancient medicine technique uses hair-thin needles to treat various pains, allergies and nausea and is also proved effective for female infertility. After extensive research and experimentation, acupressure has proved be an effective option for those who want to avoid consumption of fertility drugs, have PCOS, or for those who are not eligible for IVF or want to improve the success rate of IVF.

According to Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) theory, a woman's body has several acupuncture meridians that govern the development and manifestation of a woman's gynecological health. Imbalances in the energies of these meridians and in the reproductive organs they nourish can lead to many disorders such as infertility, painful periods, no periods at all or even abnormal bleeding. Thus acupuncture provides with effective cures on these problems.

Benefits of Acupuncture

It has been proved that acupuncture greatly reduces stress on hormones that meddle with ovulation. The technique also normalizes hormones that regulate ovulation thus releasing the egg. What is most important to conceive is the appropriate blood flow to the uterus; this is enhanced by the acupuncture technique. With a sufficient blood flow to the uterus, the chances of a fertilized egg implanting highly improve. In addition the increased blood flow also increases the thickness of the uterine lining. It has been observed that acupressure also improves ovulation cycles in women suffering with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which makes conceiving difficult. In addition acupressure also improves pregnancy rates in women undergoing into vitro fertilization (IVF). It also avoids the side effects of IVF medications and even prevents uterine contraction post IVF embryo transfer. Acupuncture increases chances of conceiving and also decreasing chances miscarriage.

Acupuncture is also effective for men as the treatment improves sperm count, motility, morphology and reduces sperm DNA fragmentation.

Acupuncture during pregnancy

Further more acupuncture has shown to be extremely effective in many other pregnancy related symptoms. The technique has proved effective on morning sickness, anxiety, hemorrhoids, sciatica, and breech baby and also on emotional changes. Acupuncture also helps in curing back pain, hip pain, minor leg swelling and constipation problems arising during pregnancy.

Acupuncture is a tested and proven medicine technique, however physicians who are licensed acupuncturists are best qualified to treat infertility.
