Exercises always help in the overall growth of a person. It helps a person to stay in a good shape. Stretching exercises are very basic form of exercises, which are generally performed free hands. The exercise requires a person to stretch the whole body. The idea is to produce mild tension in each and every muscle of the body. This is generally regarded as a warm up exercise before any intense exercise. It actually releases tension in the joints and makes it more flexible to carry out heavier workouts. Exercises are not only to maintain a good shape but can also be very useful in curing various diseases. Joint pain is one such disease, which can be, get rid of through stretching exercises. Joint pain is a serious ailment, which is caused due to any external injury or may due to wrong postures. The joints generally get swelled and become immobile during this disease. Stretching exercises can be good to relieve some pain caused during this ailment.

Stretching as an exercise to combat joint pains

Stretching as an exercise is very easy to perform. They can be done anywhere and do not require any exercising equipment to carry out. During this exercise the body is completely stretched. Each and every part of the body is subjected to stretch through various postures. It involves bending of the body, spreading of the legs to a wider angle, rotating movements of the necks and shoulder joints and many other postures to make sure that each and every joint of the body is being exercised upon. These exercises are done for the purpose of producing some mild tension in the muscle. This production of tension makes the joint between the muscle and the bone very flexible. Due to the nature of the exercise the joints, which has got swelled gets, eased out and thus giving relief to the pain caused in that area. Since the flexibility of the joint has increased it also helps a person suffering from joint pain to restore some mobility.

Benefits of stretching exercises

Apart from giving relief to the joint pain the stretching exercises have several other beneficiary effects on our body. It helps in keeping the body in a good shape. It also helps in to do away with the extra kilo that has being gained due to inactive lifestyle.

Thus stretching exercises can be very useful in overall growth of the person.
