How do food habits help to improve fertility?

Role of diet in fertility:

The way we live can have a big effect on the reproductive system of both men and women. Hence one should never overlook nutrition in fertility treatment, as it is important to have a good level of nourishment that will allow your body to function well. Several factors such as unbalanced diet, improper nutrition and bad eating habits can lower the reserves of nutrients that are necessary for reproductive hormone systems to work properly. The human hormonal balance and fertility are affected by what they eat and nutrient levels and how well their digestion works. If there is a shortage of essential fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin B6, zinc, magnesium, and antioxidants, then the hormone production may be blocked, resulting in an imbalance that makes conception less likely.

A balanced diet for improved fertility:

The human reproductive system is quite complex and requires different types of nutrients in order to function properly. So we should never restrict any categories of food to limit some of the nutrients that are essential to our reproductive system. Also it can result in our body to adjust its functions in order to adapt that sometimes occur at the cost of the fertility functions. Basic nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats and fiber all contribute to a healthier body and a healthier reproductive system. Eating a variety of vegetables like asparagus, escarole, avocado, fennel, beet greens, green and red cabbage, bok choy, kale, broccoli, kohlrabi, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, mustard greens, celery, onions, chicory, parsley, Chinese cabbage, lettuces, peppers, chives, tomatoes, collard greens, turnips, dandelion greens, spinach, endive and zucchini can really expand the nutrient horizon and help our body take in different nutrients.

Things to avoid for better fertility:

Foods that are low in fats and high in fiber should be on top of the list in the diet. Refined sugars are also restricted for those who are trying to conceive. If one is smoking or drinking then it is it is imperative on his or her part to stop, as these are all things that are detrimental to the health of the unborn baby.
