There is nothing like colouring hair to make one feel and look new. A new hair colour can do wonders to the confidence level. Sometimes, it can spell disaster. A colour might look really good on the packet cover, but once used it the reactions might vary to major depression. So if someone falls into this category then it should be removed immediately.

Some how the hair colour went wrong. It may be too bright, too dark, or simply is not the color one wanted. Just by putting the blame on the colorist's door or the product company will not help. Measures should be taken to remove the hair colour. Hair colour is not like furniture paint that can easily be removed with paint remover. One option to remove hair colour is to go to a colour correction specialist. The only way to remove hair colour is with a colour removal product. But only professionals should use products designed to remove hair colour. These products are not recommended for consumers unless they know exactly what they are doing.

How to remove colour at home
Incase if someone wants to remove colour at home it can be done by covering it. And depending on the colour selected one may be able to cover the permanent color with a semi-colour. But before deciding to re-colour the hair with another colour, seek the advice of the colour manufacturer, because mixing colours can result in bigger disasters than before.

If the hair colour used was a light to medium shade then one may be able to cover it with a semi-permanent hair colour after a few days. If very dark shade is used, then it is very difficult to remove hair colour. Dark hair colours are hard to correct because the pigments in the dye are very strong. Mistakes do happen, but learn from the mistakes and take care not to repeat them. And before setting out to repair the damage, call the manufacturer of the product first. They will be able to suggest the ways to remove hair colour. If the problem still persists the wait and the colour will eventually grow out or fade on it's own.
