Right way to use toothbrush
To properly brush the teeth, use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gum line, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration.
1. Focus on thoroughly cleaning each section like
2. Cleaning the outer surfaces of the upper teeth, then the lower teeth.
3. Clean the inner surfaces of the upper teeth then lower teeth.
4. Clean the chewing surfaces.
5. For fresher breath, be sure to brush tongue, too
Type of toothbrush
Most of the dental professionals agree that a soft-bristled brush is best for removing plaque and remains from teeth. Small-headed brushes are also preferable as they can better reach all areas of the mouth including hard-to-reach back teeth. A powered toothbrush is a good alternative. It can do a better job of cleaning teeth mainly for those who have difficulty brushing or who have limited manual deftness. Today there is a wide variety of toothpaste designed for many conditions, including cavities, gingivitis, tartar, stained teeth and sensitivity. Replace toothbrush when it begins to show wear or every three months, whichever comes first. It is also very important to change toothbrushes after having a cold, as the bristles can collect germs that can lead to infection again.
Best way to brush teeth
There are many ways to brush teeth. Ask dentist or hygienist for their recommendation.
1. For the outer tooth surfaces place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle toward the gum line.
2. Use gentle and short strokes by moving the brush back and forth against the teeth and gums.
3. Use this same motion to clean the chewing and inner tooth surfaces.
4. To clean the inner front tooth surfaces just hold the brush upright and use gentle up-and-down strokes with the tip of the brush.
5. Do not forget to brush along the gum line and make sure to reach the teeth right at the back.
6. Give tongue a brushing. It will help keep breath fresh
Proper brushing is the first step to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. It takes at least two minutes using a recommended technique to do a good job of brushing the teeth. Whether using a regular toothbrush or a power toothbrush, one should spend 30 seconds brushing each section of the mouth.
