It is seen in various studies that, nutritional deficiency may be a contributing factor in chronic fatigue syndrome. Many diet and drug supplements are prescribed to fight against the chronic fatigue syndrome as well as to avoid it. These supplements are easily available in the market and most of these supplements do not have any side effects. The supplements include vitamin, minerals and magnesium. Although, chronic fatigue syndrome is not a dietary disorder, but as in other incapacitating diseases, people suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome are advised to consume a nutritious diet. Nutritious diet with supplements prescribed can help in relieving the symptoms like tiredness.

Vitamins and Minerals

There are a wide range of vitamins and minerals advisable for people suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. The most important vitamin and mineral supplements are Beta carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B and many others. Vitamin C is very necessary to for the immune system and fends off the common symptom of cold and flues. Vitamin A is very necessary for the production of the antibodies. Vitamin E works as a powerful antioxidant. These vitamins must be taken daily and vitamin C must be taken three times a day. The affected persons may also take High-potency multivitamin mineral combination, Zinc picolinate, Magnesium glycinate, Calcium citrate or lactate and Manganese. It is also prescribed to take Omega 3 EFAs, Pantothenic acid, Acetyl-L-carnitine, Adrenal extract, Vitamin B-l2 injections, Gamma globulin injections. All these other supplements can be taken weekly.

Other supplements

Magnesium: Magnesium and malic acid assist in transforming nutrients into energy. Recent studies have revealed that magnesium content in chronic fatigue syndrome affected persons is significantly lower than healthy persons.

Chlorella: it is a replenishing supplement, which contains high amounts of chlorophyll. It helps the body to destroy viruses.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus: it is a friendly bacterium, which is necessary for a healthy immune system. This should be taken daily as antibiotics.

It is also advisable to take Bromelain to reduce inflammation. Some Digestive Enzyme Supplement should also be given with each meal. This will improve the digestion of the affected person.
