Yoga has been for ages playing a very important role in man's well being. It is a very ancient form of exercise which originated from India. Now it has spreaded worldwide. It is gaining immense popularity among people of all age groups. It has been proven as a very effective exercise to relieve stress and ensure better functioning of the joints. Joint pains have been a cause of huge discomfiture for man and are considered as a very serious illness. Joint pains continue over a period of time and are lesser prone to cure. Thus to contain it in a bearable stage is very important. To relieve pain yoga can act as a very important tool. Yoga if regularly practiced not only helps in relieving pain but also helps in over all well being of a person.

Yoga as an exercise

Yoga is based upon the principle that if the tension in the whole body is released then the pain can be managed or reduced to negligible effect. By combining regulated movements and breathing techniques one can achieve good results without putting any further stress on the joints. It also focuses on the mind. It makes people more aware and further makes them able to control over the pain. A soft spot should be found to practice yoga. Often a soft mat is used for this purpose. Tension is greatly released and the blood flows in various nerves are increased thus providing additional nutrition to the body.

Different forms of yoga to be practiced

Yoga was an ancient spiritual practice. During those days originated a form of yoga called viniyoga. Till date this form of yoga is being considered as the most effective form of yoga and very easy to practice as well. The combination of the breathing control and joint movement techniques makes it a perfect choice for the people suffering from joint pains. The other forms of yoga practiced are generally referred to when a person reaches a higher level.

Before starting out with the yoga a person should always consult an expert trainer. After taking into consideration the medical state of the person he should decide upon which form of yoga should be practiced. A person should be regular while practicing yoga or else effects will not be visible easily. Yoga is a non-evasive exercise which can be practiced by anyone. Thus it should be seriously considered it enhance the overall well being of a person.
